Meet Instructor Dana Catania!

Dana Catania’s Martial Arts Journey:

My Tiger Rock journey started when my  youngest son began tiger cub classes through the rec program in 2021. He found a place and an activity he enjoyed and the atmosphere was something I was looking for , so we signed him up as a full time student. He graduated from Tiger Cubs and moved on to the juniors program. It didn’t take long after that for me to join as a student and start taking classes alongside my son. The family atmosphere is one of the many things that drew us to Tiger Rock. Eventually, all my kids became students, and we have been going on this journey together. For the last 14 years I have been teaching kids in different environments, and becoming an instructor at Tiger Rock was something that interested me right away. My experience with teaching kids of all ages has helped me with teaching the kids on the mat.  I love that I get to experience this journey  with the students I am teaching and share in the growth and challenges together. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone, and have grown as a leader and a student since becoming an instructor, thanks to the environment and leadership at Tiger Rock. Tiger Rock  is more than a Martial Arts School, it is a family, and I am thankful to be a part of it as a student and an instructor.
